Insect-resistant genetically modified (GM) plants have been
developed to provide a more targeted and sustainable alternative
to conventional synthetic insecticides. However, such GM plants
have come under attack for potentially posing a threat to
non-target organisms. The attached
paper
(45 KB)
briefly summarises current knowledge on the effects of insect
resistant GM crops on arthropod natural enemies, one of the
major groups of non-target organisms present in agricultural
crops.
