GM Science Review Panel - Members' Interests
Julie Hill
Julie Hill is former Director of, and now Programmes Adviser to,
Green Alliance, one of the UK's leading environmental policy organisations.
She is also Deputy Chair of the Agriculture and Environment Biotechnology
Commission, which provides the Government with strategic advice
about the implications of biotechnology, including genetic modification,
for farming and the environment in the UK. She was a member of ACRE,
the Advisory Committee on Releases to the Environment, from 1990
- 1999. Other roles include Deputy Chair of ESART, a body funding
research into sustainable waste management; member of the Environmental
Advisory Board for Shanks plc, member of the Sustainability Advisory
Body for TXU; and member of the Advisory Board of the Environmental
Law Foundation.
