Science Review Panel - Members' Interests
Dr Chitra Bharucha
Dr Bharucha is a Consultant Haematologist currently living in
Lisburn, Northern Ireland. She resigned from the National Health
Service in 2000, having worked as Deputy Chief Executive of the
Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service and Consultant Clinical
Haematologist at Belfast City Hospital, for almost twenty years.
She is currently a member of the General Medical Council and the
Independent Television Commission. Dr Bharucha has held professional
appointments on a wide range of national and international panels,
councils and committees mainly relating to medicine and the media.
Dr Bharucha was appointed ACAF Chairman in April 2002.
